ADM7151 is a low dropout (LDO) linear regulator that operates from 4.5V to 16V and provides up to 800mA of output current. Using an advanced proprietary architecture, it provides high power supply rejection, ultralow noise and excellent line and load transient response with a 10μF ceramic output capacitor. The output voltage can be set to any voltage between 1.5V and 5.1V with two resistors. Applications are regulated power noise sensitive applications, RF mixers, phase-locked loops (PLLs), voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs), and PLLs with integrated VCOs, clock distribution circuits, ultrasound and other imaging applications, high speed RF transceivers, high speed, 16bit or greater ADCs, communications and infrastructure cable digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) drivers.

- Operating supply current is 12mA max (OUT=800mA, VIN=4.5 V, VOUT=1.5 V, TA=25°C)
- Shutdown current is 3µA (VEN=GND, VIN=4.5V, VOUT=1.5V, IOUT=10mA, CIN=COUT=CREG=10µF, TA=25°C)
- Output noise is 1.6µV rms (10Hz to 100KHz, independent of output voltage, VIN=4.5V, TA=25°C)
- Power supply rejection ratio is 84dB (1KHz to 100KHz, VIN=6.2V, VOUT=5V at 800mA, VIN=4.5V, TA=25°C)
- Noise spectral density is 1.7nV/√Hz (10KHz to 1MHz, independent output voltage, VIN=4.5V, TA=25°C)
- Dropout voltage is 1.2V (IOUT=800mA, VOUT=5V, VIN=4.5V, VOUT=1.5V, TA=25°C)
- 8-lead SOIC-N-EP package
- Temperature rating range from -40°C to +125°C
