ADP172 is a low voltage input, low quiescent current, low-dropout (LDO) linear regulator that operates from 1.6V to 3.6V and provides up to 300mA of output current. The low 50mV dropout voltage at 300mA load improves efficiency and allows operation over a wide input voltage range. The low 23µA of quiescent current at no load makes this ideal for battery-operated portable equipment. Ideal for powering digital processors, this exhibits good transient performance and occupies minimal board space. It is ideal for power source for analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) mixed-signal processor systems and allowing use of smaller size bypass capacitors. In addition, low output noise performance without the need for an additional bypass capacitor further reduces printed circuit board (PCB) component count. Typical applications are mobile phones, digital camera and audio devices, portable and battery-powered equipment, DSP/FPGA/microprocessor supplies, post dc-to-dc regulation.

• Output noise is 72µV rms (10Hz to 100KHz, VIN=3.6V, VOUT=3.0V, TA=25°C)
• Stable with small 1 µF ceramic output capacitor
• 4-ball WLCSP package
• Temperature rating range from -40°C to +125°C
