Product Overview
MCP3002-I/SN is a 10bit dual channel, serial A/D converter with SPI serial interface and on-board sample and hold circuitry. It is programmable to provide a single pseudo-differential input pair inputs. Communication with the device is done using a simple serial interface compatible with the SPI protocol. The application includes a sensor interface, process control, data acquisition, and battery-operated systems.
- Resolution is 10bits typ (VDD = 5V, TA = +25°C)
- Differential nonlinearity is ±0.25LSB typ (VDD = 5V, TA = +25°C)
- Integral nonlinearity is ±0.5LSB typ (VDD = 5V, TA = +25°C)
- Analog inputs programmable as single-ended or pseudo-differential pairs
- On-chip sample and hold, SPI serial interface (modes 0,0 and 1,1)
- Operating voltage range from 2.7 to 5.5V (VDD = 5V, TA = +25°C)
- Throughput rate is 200ksps max (VDD = 5V, VDD = 5V, TA = +25°C)
- Standby current is 0.005µA typ (CS (active low) = VDD = 5.0V, VDD = 5V, TA = +25°C)
- Gain error is ±1LSB max (VDD = 5V, VDD = 5V, TA = +25°C)
- 8 pin SOIC package, industrial operating temperature range from -40 to 85°C
