Product Overview
The EVAL-ADMP621Z-FLEX is a flex evaluation board for ADMP621 wide dynamic range microphone with PDM digital output. The ADMP621 is a high sound pressure level (SPL), ultra low noise, low power, digital output, bottom ported omnidirectional MEMS microphone. This microphone clips at 133dB SPL, which is useful for clearly capturing audio in loud environments. The ADMP621 consists of a MEMS microphone element and an impedance converter amplifier followed by a fourth order sigma delta modulator. The small size and low profile of the flexible printed circuit board (PCB) enable direct placement of the microphone into a prototype or an existing design for an in situ evaluation. The evaluation board consists of a bottom port microphone and a 0.1μF bypass capacitor soldered to a flexible PCB with colour-coded wires attached. Stereo PDM microphones can be evaluated by connecting the DATA wires from two flex boards, while tying the L/R SELECT wire of one to VDD and the other to GND.
