LTC6992-1 is a silicon oscillator with an easy-to-use analogue voltage-controlled pulse width modulation (PWM) capability. It is a part of the TimerBlox® family of versatile silicon timing devices. A single resistor, RSET, programs the device’s internal host oscillator frequency. The output frequency is determined by this host oscillator and an internal frequency divider, NDIV, programmable to eight settings from 1 to 16384. It is used in applications such as PWM servo loops, heater control, LED dimming control, high vibration, high acceleration environments, portable and battery-powered equipment.

- Frequency range from 3.81Hz to 1MHz, configured with 1 to 3 resistors
- Frequency accuracy is ±1.7% maximum at (3.81Hz ≤ fOUT ≤ 1MHz)
- Long-term frequency stability is 90ppm/√kHr typical at (TA = 25°C)
- Frequency modulation (VCO) capability, single supply operation range from 2.25V to 5.5V
- CMOS output driver sources/sinks 20mA
- Supply current is 365µA typical at (TA = 25°C), 500μs start-up time
- Operating temperature is -40°C to 125°C
- Package style is 6-lead plastic TSOT-23
