The TPS7A7001DDAR is a very low input, very low dropout, 2A regulator with enable in 8 pin SOIC package. It is a high performance, positive voltage, low dropout (LDO) regulator designed for applications requiring very low input voltage and very low dropout voltage at up to 2A. The device operates with a single input voltage as low as 1.425V and with an output voltage programmable to as low as 0.5V. The output voltage can be set with an external resister divider. It features ultra-low dropout, ideal for applications where VOUT is very close to VIN. It has an enable pin for further reduced power dissipation while in shutdown mode. It provides excellent regulation over variations in line, load and temperature. It is used in telecom and networking cards, motherboards and peripheral cards, wireless infrastructure, set-top boxes, notebook computers and battery-powered systems.
