AD8418A is a bidirectional, zero drift, current sense amplifier. It is a high voltage, high resolution current shunt amplifier. It features an initial gain of 20V/V, with a maximum ±0.15% gain error over the entire temperature range. The buffered output voltage directly interfaces with any typical converter. This amplifier performs bidirectional current measurements across a shunt resistor in a variety of automotive and industrial applications, including motor control, power management, and solenoid control, low-side current sensing, diagnostic protection etc. It includes EMI filters and patented circuitry to enable output accuracy with pulse-width modulation (PWM) type input common-mode voltages.
- Typical 0.1μV/°C offset drift, slew rate is 1V/μs
- Maximum ±200μV voltage offset over full temperature range
- Operating power supply range is 2.7V to 5.5V
- Electromagnetic interference (EMI) filters included
- Common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) is 90dB minimum
- Initial gain is 20V/V, bidirectional operation
- Operating temperature range is −40°C to +125°C
- Packaging style is 8-lead MSOP
