MAX232EEWE+ is an RS-232 and V.28 transceiver with high ±15kV ESD HBM protection and integrated charge pump circuitry for single +5V supply operation. It meets all EIA/TIA-232E and CCITT V.28 specifications at data rates up to 120kbps when loaded. Applications include battery-powered equipment, hand-held equipment, and portable diagnostics equipment.
- Saves board space
- Eliminates the need for a bipolar ±12V supply
- Enables single supply operation from +5V supply
- Saves power for reduced power requirements
- 4 numbers of RS-232 drivers and 5 numbers of RS-232 receivers
- 4 (1μF) numbers of external capacitors
- VCC supply current is 5mA typ at no load, TA=+25°C
- Maximum data rate is 120kbps min at RL=3kohm to 7kohm, CL=50pF to 1000pF, one transmitter switching
- 16 wide SO package
- Temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
