The MAX706ASESA+T is a +3V voltage monitoring low cost microprocessor (µP) supervisory circuit in 8 pin NSOIC package. This device reduces complexity and number of components required to monitor +3V power supply levels in +3V to +5V µP systems. It significantly improves system reliability and accuracy compared to separate ICs or discrete components. An independent watchdog output will goes low if watchdog input has not been toggled within 1.6s. The MAX706AS provides 1.25V threshold detector for power fail warning, low battery detection or for monitoring power supply other than main supply and active-low manual reset input. The watchdog timer function for MAX706AS disables when WDI input is left open or connected to a high impedance state of a low leakage tri-state output. It is used in computers, controllers, intelligent instruments, critical µP power monitoring and battery powered equipments.
- Supply voltage range from 1.2V to 5.5V, operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
- Provides reset output during power-up, power-down and brown-out conditions
- Active-low, push-pull reset output signal
- Reset threshold of 2.93V and reset time delay of 200ms
- Debounced TTL/CMOS compatible manual reset input
- Quiescent current of 100μA
- Watchdog timeout period of 1.6s at VCC = 3.3V
- Supply current of 90μA at VCC <lt/> 3.6V and 135μA VCC <lt/> 5.5V
- Active-low RESET assertion to VCC = 1V
- Voltage monitor for power fail or low battery warning
