P78X2-2000-S is a P78-2000-S series compact, encapsulated, non-isolated DC/DC converter. It is designed to offer a high-performance alternative to linear regulators. Utilizing switching technology, it is footprint compatible with LM78XX three-terminal linear regulators. Unlike linear regulators, it is extremely efficient and does not require a heat sink, making it ideal for applications where board space is at a premium and maximizing energy efficiency is a concern. It includes output short circuit protection. It is designed to meet 62368: EN, BS EN.
- 24VDC typical input voltage, 1.8VDC output voltage
- 2000mA maximum output current, 3.6W maximum output power
- 83% typical efficiency
- No-load input current as low as 0.1mA
- Pin-out compatible with linear regulators
- 400KHz typical switching frequency
- Operating temperature range from -40 to 85°C
- Black plastic, flame retardant and heat resistant (UL94-V0) case material
- Dimension is 11.50 x 9.00 x 17.50mm
- 2 year limited warranty
