The SMAJ12A from Multicomp Pro is a SMAJ series unidirectional surface mount transient voltage suppressor in DO-214AC package. The SMAJ series is designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients induced by lightning and other transient voltage events. It features reliable low cost construction utilizing moulded plastic technique. This TVS device is ideal for the protection of I/O interfaces, VCC bus and other vulnerable circuits. It is typically used for surface mount applications to optimize board space. This transient voltage suppressor also features glass passivated junction and built-in strain relief.
- UL94-V0 rated moulded plastic case, low profile package and ideal for automated placement
- Fast response time of typically less than 1ps from 0V to BV minimum
- IFSM of 40A (8.3ms single half sine wave super imposed on rated load (JEDEC method)
- Minimum peak power dissipation of 400W at TA = 25°C, TP = 1ms
- Steady state power dissipation (PM(AV)) of 1W at TL = 75°C
- Operating temperature range from -55°C to +150°C
- Working peak reverse voltage (Vrwm) of 12V and maximum reverse leakage (IR) of 5µA at Vrwm
- Breakdown voltage (VBR) of 13.3V (minimum), 14.7V (maximum) and test current ( IT) of 1mA
