ADM7171ACPZ-4.2-R7 is a CMOS, low dropout linear regulator (LDO) that operates from 2.3V to 6.5V and provides up to 1A of output current. This high output current LDO is ideal for regulating high-performance analogue and mixed-signal circuits operating from 6V down to 1.2V rails. Using an advanced proprietary architecture, the device provides high power supply rejection and low noise, achieving excellent line and load transient response with just a small 4.7μF ceramic output capacitor. Load transient response is typically 1.5μs for a 1mA to 500mA load step. Applications include regulation for noise-sensitive components such as ADC and DAC circuits, precision amplifiers, PLLs/VCOs, clocking ICs, communications and infrastructure, medical and healthcare, industrial, and instrumentation.

- Fixed output voltage accuracy is +1% maximum at (ILOAD = 10mA, TJ = 25°C)
- Dropout voltage is 42mV typical at (ILOAD = 500mA, VOUT = 3V, TA = 25°C)
- Output noise is 6μV rms typical at (10Hz to 100KHz, TA = 25°C)
- Power supply rejection ratio is 60dB typical at (100KHz, VIN = 4V, VOUT = 3V, ILOAD = 1A, CSS = 0nF)
- Operating junction temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, 8-lead LFCSP package
