CYPM1111-40LQXI is an EZ-PD™ PMG1-S0 family of high-voltage USB-C power delivery (PD) microcontroller (MCU) supporting dual role port USB-C PD applications. The USB PD block in the EZ-PD™ PMG1-S1 is used for USB-C source/Sink attach detection and negotiating a power delivery contract. This includes the BMC PHY, slew rate-controlled gate drivers for the source and sink side FETs, and overvoltage, under voltage, overcurrent, and short circuit protection circuits. It also integrates a high-speed USB Mux. The USB-PD subsystem contains one 8-bit 125ksps successive approximation register analog-to-digital converter. All GPIOs on the chip have access to the ADC through the chip-wide analog mux bus. Potential applications include cordless personal care solutions like electric shavers and hair dryers powered through USB-C, smart speakers, smart home appliances, VR/AR goggles, and power tools.
