Renesas starter kit+ for RX671 provides a complete platform for device evaluation and allows users to easily develop applications with the features of the RX671. This board features a 144-pin LFQFP device, two Pmod connectors, capacitive touch buttons and a slider, digital microphones, speakers/headphones outputs, etc. Additionally, this board is scheduled to pass the FreeRTOS qualification in combination with the Renesas' Wi-Fi Pmod Expansion Board by middle of August 2021. Users can download the qualified programs from the GitHub and promptly start the evaluation. Target applications includes energy management system, building automation, home appliance, industrial automation. End products are smart meter, HVAC controller, steam oven and industrial sensor.

- RX671 builds in trusted secure IP, AES encryption and robust key management can be evaluated
- Mounts SD slot, SDHI (SD host interface) can be evaluated
- Touch feature (self-capacitive type) can be evaluated
- Mounts Audio circuit. SSIE (Serial Sound Interface) can be evaluated
- 1 channel USB function and 1 channel USB host can be evaluated
- RSPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) and QSPIX (Quad Serial Peripheral Interface) can be evaluated
- Application combining functions using FIT (Firmware Integration Technology) module can be evaluated
- Required IBM-PC compatible PC (need USB interface, Processor 1GHz over)
- OS: Windows 10/8.1 (other than the listed OS is not supported)
